(LA Trend) — Join the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as they host another installment in their “Bon Vivant” adult art class series, this time with an emphasis on collaged landscapes. So pour yourself a glass, pick up your artist’s tools, and start creating!
In this class, you’ll learn how to use photos, images from magazines, fabrics, and other materials to create a collage that depicts a landscape that holds emotional value for you. If you run out of ideas or lack the inspiration, then check out the works of artist Camille Zakharia in LACMA’s collection and use his collages that explore identity and place to help guide your creative energy.
“Adult Art Class: Bon Vivant—Collaged Landscapes” will be taught by Billie Rae Vinson, a painter, teaching artist, and educator who lives and works in Los Angeles. Before she moved to L.A., Billie worked in the Education Departments at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Tate Britain where she developed art-making programs for schools, families, and teens. She earned her MA from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London and studied sculpture for her undergraduate degree.
This class can be joined on your computer or tablet wherever you have internet access. Participants will be given a Zoom link prior to the class, along with an art materials list. Pre-registration is required to join this class.
