Breathtaking Views & Elegant Dining at Burbank Restaurant Castaway

(LA Trend) — Castaway is one of the most talked about restaurants in the Los Angeles area, and it’s no secret why.

Having been a local favorite for decades, the new Castaway retains some of the charm that made the original incarnation such a popular restaurant among Angelenos while adding some modern enhancements, including new walls, furniture, menu, and service model.

And of course, let’s not forget the main reason why Castaway is the go-to romantic restaurant of choice: the stunning panoramic views of the San Fernando Valley, Downtown L.A., and beyond. Castaway also features multi-level seating and operable picture windows that fully open to make sure that no one misses out on the gorgeous scenery on display.

The updated restaurant also has a prominent meat dry-aging room, a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar, a striking wrap-around bar, and a highly sought-after Chef’s Table set up to give guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience that’s perfect for date nights.

But Castaway has more than dazzling views and lavish contemporary décor—their food is what really sets them apart, if not above, other modern restaurants in Los Angeles. Their menu has a steak-forward focus that consists of cuts from some of the world’s best butchers, that are then dry-aged in their in-house aging room (equipped with its own Himalayan salt wall, no less!). Their Cape Grim Steaks and Mishima Wagyu are some of the highlights from the bovine section, but also worth trying are their calamari, crab cakes, and caviar frites from the starter menu.

If you want to dine outside, then their Verdugo Terrace is for you. Dry Aged Patty Melt, Giant Prawns, Prosciutto and Burrata Flatbread, and Charcuterie Boards are the perfect bites to accompany your outdoor experience.

Don’t forget Castaway’s posh bar, where you can order from a wide range of award-winning wines, handmade craft cocktails, and beers on tap.

In the mood for a classy Sunday brunch? Castaway’s brunch menu includes such delectable dishes as the Crabcake Benedict, Chicken and Waffles, Hangover Hash, and more.

For those looking for a midday meal, Castaway has you covered, too. Their lunch menu has a wide variety of fancy fare to choose from, like their Little Gem Caesar salad, Double Patty Smash Burger, Faroe Island Salmon, Chilled Oysters, and more.

Castaway also offers take-out and delivery orders!
