Score Foodie Freebies With an “I Voted” Sticker

(LA Trend) — If you need extra incentive to vote in this year’s presidential election, these L.A. eateries are offering foodie freebies to encourage civic engagement. Show your “I Voted” sticker, either from voting in-person or mailing in your ballot, to score some delicious deals between now and Election Day, November 3.

Although not technically a post-voting deal, the ingenious 501(c)4 nonprofit, Pizza to the Polls will send pizza or food trucks to polling locations with long lines. Founded in 2016, this benevolent organization uses its large social media presence to send food to voters stuck in long lines. 2020 has seen some of the longest wait times in election history, with some voters waiting 10 hours just to cast their ballots. According to their website, Pizza to the Polls is taking COVID-19 precautions and contracting with local pizzerias and food trucks to deliver treats.

Score a “DoNut Be Silent” vegan doughnut from Counterpart Vegan in Echo Park for only $1 when you show an “I Voted” sticker. Pick up a Turmeric Ginger Latte or Nitro Coffee to go with your donut.

Head to Jerry’s Patio Cafe & Bar at their newly-reopened Marina del Rey location for a free red and blue election-themed cookie for customers with an “I Voted” sticker. There you’ll also find classics like a Patty Melt, Brisket Dip, and Matzo Ball Soup.

The Long Beach Creamery recently debuted a frozen lime souffle ice cream in honor of the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Through a partnership with Intertrend, the Long Beach Creamery is donating 100% of proceeds to the ACLU of Southern California. Visit their downtown Long Beach or Bixby Knolls location on Election Day with your “I Voted” sticker, to score a free scoop, while supplies last.

Dine-in at NORMS on November 3 with your “I Voted” sticker to score buy one, get one free entrees. Enjoy comforting diner fare like NORMS’ homemade meatloaf served with fresh sautéed garlic mushrooms, bacon, and savory gravy, or opt for one of their all-day breakfast specials.

Randy’s Donuts in Inglewood is giving away a free glazed donut on election day to anyone with an “I Voted” sticker. Savor one of these classic glazed donuts and pick up a half-dozen to get you through the rest of the week. Enjoy fun options like Oreo, white chocolate, Fruity Pebbles, and S’mores.

Visit Uncool Burger in Larchmont with your “I Voted” sticker and score free fries with your smashburger order. Choose from the grass-fed beef chuck and short rib blend House Patty or the vegan Impossible Burger. Don’t forget a vegan shake! Choose from gourmet flavors like cereal milk, cookies and cream, or matcha rose.
