(LA Trend) — The famous Polo Lounge, located at the equally famous Beverly Hills Hotel, is a legendary LA establishment that has served as the setting for countless Hollywood celebrities, politicians, and business tycoons. This luxurious restaurant is most renowned for its patio area, which features a beautiful array of palm trees and flowers. It’s the perfect place for a sunny brunch, a romantic dinner, or for drinks with friends. There is a variety of scrumptious modern American and Italian dishes to choose from across its breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, and cocktail menus.
The Polo Lounge is a dream for film and pop culture aficionados, as the restaurant has been seen in numerous big motion pictures, including The Bad and the Beautiful, The Way We Were, Shampoo, American Gigolo, Hannah and Her Sisters, Beverly Hills Cop II, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and many others.
However, you don’t have to be a celebrity to get the VIP treatment—if you ask longtime Polo Lounge manager Pepe De Anda, he’ll show you the best places to sit depending on your desired experience, just like how the celebrities do it. Whether you want to sit at a power booth to make a high-profile deal, sit in strategically placed seats that let you quietly watch the doorway in the mirror to know who’s arriving, sit in an alcove for an intimate date, or just want to see everyone without being seen, the Polo Lounge can accommodate.
The Polo Lounge has taken extra steps to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff, and is currently only open for outdoor seating. All guests are required to wear face masks at all times except when seated at their tables, and it is highly recommended that guests keep parties at six people or fewer. It’s encouraged that guests keep their stay to ninety minutes or fewer.
Oh, and because the Polo Lounge is a classy joint, guests are asked to dress appropriately, which means casual hats, ripped denim, crop tops, nightwear, swimwear, and men’s sleeveless shirts are discouraged. After 4 pm, permit shorts, flip-flops (including Birkenstocks), and sportswear (including tracksuits) are not allowed.
